Stephen Colbert

So last night I was watching The Colbert Report and he was talking about this website, called the Daily Kos. Here is what Wikipedia has to say about it.
Daily Kos (IPA: [koʊs]) is an American political blog, publishing news and opinion from a progressive point of view. It also acts as a discussion forum and group blog for a variety of netroots activists, whose efforts are primarily directed toward influencing and strengthening the Democratic Party. Additionally, the site features a growing political encyclopedia, glossaries, and other permanent content.
Daily Kos is among the most popular examples of a collaborative blog,[citation needed] offering posting privileges to limitless commentators.
I guess that it is a controversial site, and Stephen Colbert, with his conservative persona, made the site seem as if it were a Nazi website. He made a big deal about it and everything. So anyway he said he went undercover with the username "notstephencolbert" so no one would know it was him and posted a blog which he typed up on the show and posted the following...
Hungarians are dirty ghoulies who wash in peanut oil.
Heil healthcare!!!
Following this, he had the creator of the site come out and he interrogated the creator for his hatred of Hungarians in which he should be held responsible for what Stephen Colbert reported. Anyway, it was really funny and I ended up looking it up and he really did post it online which I thought was funny. So I posted the picture of the post below.

Yeah so I don't know how this one happened but it's cool because it looks like people.
These geese let me get really close and for some reason kept attacking each other unprovoked. It was really relaxing just sitting there watching them.

First Day of Classes

So today was my first day of college classes. I had math at 12 so it was much later than everyone else. I had plenty of time to relax before class whereas everyone else had to wake up really early. It was great. Then I had a few hours before the next class to eat and relax. I went to my English class next in an incredibly old building that was only supposed to be temporary until the end of World War II but of course they didn't get rid of it, I end up having most of my classes in that building. No air conditioning, no space, fantastic. Buttttttt...it's right near my dorm so it's in the perfect location. After classes my dad stopped by and picked up some check I had to give him, and he left pretty quickly (he had to go home and make dinner and home is an hour and a half drive from here). I had a quick dinner and then ran back to my dorm for a floor meeting.
Afterwards, I did my short homework assignment and went on a nice romantic walk around campus with my girlfriend Katie. It was really nice. I was able to take a couple pictures even though she hates my camera.

So on the second day of college, Katie and I walked around most of the day getting to know where everything is and to find out where are friends' dorms are to compare them. It was so extremely humid and just so hot it's crazy. I guess the temperature will have dropped ten degress by Saturday but that is an entire week. Classes start on Monday. I'm nervous about that because there will be so much work and I don't have any idea what to expect. I'm taking intermediate Spanish because I'm crazy and signed up for it when I didn't need to. Oh well, I guess I'll see how that turns out. Anywho, I took some pictures from this little shaded area we stopped at. It's pretty nice. The pictures probably won't do them justice but it really is a nice little area to just sit down and relax. I'm typing this on Sunday morning so the rest of the day I guess is more figuring out where everything is, I need to find a few things out, and probably more organizing of the room. Bye.

First day at college.

I woke up this morning and packed for UConn. It's amazing how I am so used to packing in such a short amount of time. I didn't have a single thing ready last night and I ended up packing more than I needed in just a couple hours. I am all set for all semester. So we drove up here and unloaded the stuff in my dorm. My dorm is probably the crappiest dorm on campus. I say this after seeing a few other people's dorm rooms. The rooms are TINY. Everyone else's is bigger. Once I got organized the room is a lot better now. I can definitely live her and be comfortable. I think we are gonna change the beds around though cause right now they are bunked and I just know that at some point I am going to fall off so we are trying to figure out the best way to organize everything. My roommate Rod Taheri is cool. I doubt I'll have any problems with him.
After my parents left, we organized our rooms more, and then we went to the Student Union (the main hangout place for all the students) for some events. I stood in line with Katie for an hour to get a tiny microscopic fish. Then I got some ice cream and we went on a walk and then hung out with my roommate in our dorm for a little bit and then the three of us walked over to Subway and had a sandwich. After we ate, I walked Katie back to her dorm and dragged myself back to mine. My feet our killing me. And oh yeah, I found out today that my old camera, the good ol' reliable one, finally went crazy. It doesnt really work anymore. This upsets me because we've been through many good times together. What a day. So anyway here's three pics I took a few minutes ago.
Goodnight.

Last Day

Today is my last day before going away to UConn and leaving Derby. It probably won't hit me that I'm leaving until the second that I leave the house and say goodbye to the dog. That's how it is all the time. I'll be fine though because I'm used to being away from home for long periods of time because of all of the trips I go on.
Today I hung out with Katie. We ran some errands and ate some lunch at Indian Well State Park in Shelton. I took some pictures there. Then she went home and I started getting ready.
hahaha that one is funny

Today I made up a list of all the things I need to get for UConn and I went to Circuit City and bought a laptop. It's a Gateway 14.1" widescreen notebook. It's excellent. I took pictures so everyone can bask in its glory. Now bask.
That's all.
Paz.

Hi, I'm Kevin Henri, Sean Henri's brother, and this is my page.
So today was one of my last chances to see my friends before going up to UConn for the school year. Needless to say, I am sad. First off, my friend Nentwick was back down in Derby for the day (he moved to New York at the beginning of the summer) so my girl friend Katie and I went to the mall to have lunch with him. After we ate and he left, we hung out a little at the mall and enjoyed some glorious Coldstone ice cream. It's great. Indeed. So after that, we went back to my house and watched an episode of the Beatles Anthology, the Simpsons, and I played the first level of the game, Bioshock.
Around seven, we met up with our friend Steven Sobczynski at the bowling alley and waited for our other friend Mercedes Harding (Meche) to arrive. We hung out and bowled, had many a laughs and then all went back to my house for some video games and more laughs. Laughter ensued. The end...then everyone left. Kate and I said our goodbyes to Meche and Steven, who we won't be seeing until our winter breaks. We were very sad. I went upstairs and typed up this post.
Here's three pics from tonight.
That's Meche
That's Steven
And that's Katie and I.
¡Fin!
