So many ideas

On top of the previously mentioned idea that I have about a Connecticut related blog, two other projects you may see coming shortly are a photo blog (something I've played around with in the past), and a blog focusing on music /The Beatles. More details to come.
Speaking of photos.. I've been experimenting with some over-saturation on the colors in some shots. I'm trying to give them somewhat of a vintage feel. A friend recently commented that it makes the photo almost look like a painting. Below are two that I took over the weekend. Any thoughts?

Ed:
Looks good to me. The vignetting in the first pic also contributes to a vintage feel.
The second photo is slightly over exposed -- the highlights
on his face are blown out. The colors are pretty extreme, but I think it works. As long as Kevin doesn't mind being yellow. The shadows seem noisy, that might be an artifact of the extreme saturation boost.
If you want to get good criticism for your photos, check out the Photography Critique group on Flickr.

Erica Johansson:I love the first picture, especially the contrast between the blue color on her sweater, the sky and the darker blue of the ocean.
