Denied an iPhone

Being a nerd, I ventured out early this morning to try to get my hands on a new iPhone 3G S from the AT&T store in Shelton. I had checked multiple times with various AT&T stores to be sure I wouldn't be wasting my time by showing up at 7 in the morning, and they had assured me I wouldn't. So, 7am comes along and the store manager steps outside and starts collecting names to start pre-registering everyone. He gets to me, collects my information, and begins to walk away. I asked if I'd be out of there pre-8:30 (had work to get to), and he said "No, we're not even letting you in until 9". So I wasn't pleased. Guess I'm stuck with the old iPhone for a few more days now. Not the end of the world by any means, but still, quite aggravating.
Update: I now have one.
