  Here is the order form for Troop 3's annual Holiday Pie Sale.

The ready to bake Pies are $10 each. Orders and money are due by Nov 7.

Upcoming Day Hike & Backpacking Trip

Oct 27 there will be a shake-down day hike at Osborndale State Park. We will meet at 9AM at the Kellogg Environmental Center Parking lot on Hawthorne Ave. Backpacks are available to anyone who needs one. A list of backpacking gear will be provided this Wednesday so all participants will come to the day hike fully packed for the preparation hike. This approximately 5 mile hike is open to anyone interested and will meet the hiking requirement for rank advancement. Will end at 2PM.   No Cost. Lunch will be provided.

Nov 2-4 – Troop Backpacking Trip – Bear Mountain & Sages Ravine.  Sign up this Wednesday. Must be 1st Class Rank or above to participate. We will meet up at Strang Scout Res. on Nov 2 and sleep on the rifle range. On Sat morning we will drive to the trail head in Salisbury and hike to beautiful Sages Ravine, camping there over night. We will return on Sunday to Camp for 2PM. 

No Cost. Hikers to purchase meals in groups of 4 in advance.

OA Potluck Dinner on Oct 21

Who: All Order of the Arrow lodge members and their families

When: Sun. Oct 21, 4:30PM

Where: Seymour Congregational Church.

How: $3 per person plus a hot dish or dessert

Why: Food, Fun and Fellowship. General Lodge meeting and voting on the new lodge flap. Dues of $6 will also be collected.

Oct 17 Court of Honor & WISE Trip Presentation

Our quarterly Court of Honor will take place Oct 17, 7PM at the Derby 2nd Congregational Church.

All scouts are asked to invite their parents and family to attend and to bring a dessert. Scouts will be recognized for their Rank Advancement and Merit Badges earned since Summer Camp and we will also hand out the Fall Camporee patches and awards.

Scouts and leaders who participated in our Summer trip to Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England will give a presentation on their 16 day trip.

Other important upcoming events will also be discussed and we will take sign ups for the Oct 27 preparation backpacking hike at Osborndale State Park.

Oct 3 is the deadline for registering to attend the Fall Camporee. The fee is $9 to Mr. Oppel.
